About Game Launcher:
Telenor Velocity hosted the most promising app developers and game studios across Pakistan to participate in the Game Launcher program. Selected participants went through a seven-month long coaching program, where they competed to transform their creative ideas into successful and sustainable app businesses.
How Game Launcher Works:
Round 1
Design & Build
Domain experts impart a wealth of knowledge on trends, app ideation, user design and best practices around development. The participants work on building their new/unpublished apps. The round lasts for two months in duration with workshops in different cities of the country. At the end of the opening round, the panel of adjudicators choose the top game titles and advance them into the next round. The judging criteria is solely based on game design and monetization capability.
Round 2
Launch, Optimize & Earn!
The goal of this round is building sustainable apps businesses; the focus being around user acquisition and monetization. The teams go back and forth with product and business experts and optimize their apps for results. While all participants have access to the knowledge shared, the Round 2 club gets exclusive access to 1:1 mentoring sessions. Round 2 is two months in duration. The adjudication criteria are based on game design and monetization capability.
Round 3
Be the Champion
Round 3 is the final round, where domain experts advise the finalists on business modelling and go to market plan.
